Man Arrested for Marijuana Myspace Photos
In January an accused drug dealer learned the hard way what anyone with half of a brain has known for years:

Pilkerton, 20, of the 300 block of Delaney Drive in Suffolk, was charged with felony distribution after police said they used an informant to make three marijuana buys from him in recent months. That work, according to the search warrant, began after officials learned about the MySpace page last March. Lt. D.J. George, a police spokeswoman, wouldn’t discuss which types of Internet surveillance her detectives use.
A MySpace page boasting photos of homegrown marijuana sparked a police investigation into Michael Wayne Pilkerton and his brother, according to a search warrant filed last week in Suffolk Circuit Court.
Pilkerton’s brother, Jonathan, had a MySpace page that showed large amounts of cultivated marijuana and comments by the brothers that they both frequently smoked marijuana, the warrant says.
A phone call to Michael Pilkerton’s home was not answered Friday. His defense attorney was unavailable for comment, his assistant said. This is just another prime example of why you don’t get online and boast about illegal activities, you, your family, or your friends commit. The police and government do have a web department and they will be investigating any online activities that smell ‘fishy’ or illegal. The internet is for free information of any kind, and that includes grow marijuana information. That doesn’t mean you share you’re personal information on illegal activites you commit. Lets all learn from this.
